The power of the mind
The minds ability to propel you to greatness should not be underestimated
The mind is infinitely malleable and will believe anything it wants to. If someone were to tell themselves they are great, smart and high achieving, the mind starts to believe it and act accordingly. If someone had the great effect of mentally hyping themselves up, being their own cheerleader and acting like everything will work out, the brain shifts it's own thoughts to make them come true.
It's this amazing ability that this organic computer has to sift through our thoughts and pick up on the things that most matter to us and actualise them.
If you've ever heard of an athlete or a musician hyping themselves up before a big game or concert, of getting themselves into the zone, this is precisely what happens. They tell themselves they are great and they perform accordingly.
Science also backs this up! Studies have found that people who engage in positive self reinforcement and positive thoughts will have positive outcomes, no matter the profession. Granted you actually need the skills and the ability to actually do the act but that last edge, that last bit of motivation. That only comes from within.
